A Real Inspiration! I don't think any page that I could design could
illustrate how much I admire Mr. Uematsu. If he ever reads this page I hope he likes it. For me, it would be a dream come true to
write even the shortest song with Nobuo Uematsu. I was pretty excited to meet him at the Distant Worlds Concert Chicago.
I even got to take a pic with him, Arnie Roth, Benyamin Nuss and Susan Calloway.
If I could say one thing to him, it would be "Thank you for being such an inspiration and helping me find love in music!"
I was maybe 12 years old when I first heard Nobuo Uematsu's music. At that time, I didn't know who wrote it.
I was playing Final Fantasy. It was like no other game I've ever played. Of course the music was on Nintendo so
there wasn't any real symphonic sound, but the music still did the trick. I loved how the music painted a perfect
picture of what's going on in the game. From the Prelude to Matoya's theme, everything really captured my attention.
Check out the unofficial Nobuo Uematsu fan page. Below I share some
of my favorite Uematsu works. Of course there's even more on my Final Fantasy favorites page.

I own tons of music by Nobuo Uematsu, everything from Sheet music, to game sound tracks and DVDs.
I just love how he layers the songs with beautiful melodies and harmonies. Here are some of my favorites.

I haven't had a chance to dig deep into this site yet, but the album art looks amazing and once I save up some $$$, I'm sure I'll be ordering somethings.

Terra's Theme, Final Fantasy VI
To put it simply...I love this song. I have great memories playing Final Fantasy VI (III in the U.S.A.).
When I hear this song, I adventure and friendship come to mind. I love how well the horns support the wood winds thought parts of the melody and then become the melody.20 Years of Chocobo!
Perhaps one of the more recognizable themes from Final Fantasy is the Chocobo theme. I found this youtube clip that shows the evolution of Nobuo's great work.
I particularly like FF VI at 1:30 in. I don't think any other theme paints as good a picture of a 6 foot bird. Well maybe Sesame Street might come close! The Black Mages
I've just started listening to The Black Mages. Check out the Wiki.
Check out Otherworld performed by The Black Mages. Same great compositions, but a totally different sound!
